 GVMS Heritage Fest 2022

风雨无阻， 传播文化， 

建设多元社区， 共建美好家园！

在风雨交加的一个傍晚，大峡谷学区组织的“2022多元文化节” 吸引了包括明朗中国文化中心的社区多族裔家庭的踊跃参加， 大家欢聚一堂， 为分享自己的文化而自豪， 为接触和学习其他文化而感激！

正是这种多元文化造就了美利坚独特的移民国度，多元民族， 多元社区正是美利坚的伟大和个性所在！

感谢大家的参与， 特别感谢小小“中国文化使者”们 的优秀表现！

Rain and wind did not stop our families’ participation in the Great Valley Middle School Heritage Fest 2022 this past Thursday night. It was a dark, cold, and stormy evening, but our families showed up early to help with transport and setup. Special thank you to our young teenage boys and girls who bravely served as China Culture Ambassadors to introduce our heritage to the guests. Our culture stations included Tea, Chinese Holidays Interactive Game station, Calligraphy, Zither, our students’ Culture Exhibit Tri-Folds, and much more. Our Calligraphy teacher Ms. Xiao Wen and our Guzheng teacher Ms. Wang Shuai both performed live for the guests. While our parents made dumplings with Play-Doh. We introduced MLCCC to the Great Valley community and shared our Weekend School and Summer Camp information; bilingual Chinese culture books and MLCCC tote bags were given out as prizes to some lucky winners. GVMS principals and PTOs visited our stations with great interest. Children of other ethnicities enjoyed their names written in Chinese on a special bookmark; families enjoyed tasting our teas, and much more. Sincere thanks to all the families and especially our children for your participation, support, and most of all, your spirit of volunteerism for a better community!


We also thank all the guests who visited our stations, thanks to the GVMS Principals, teachers, and PTOs for your attendance and support, we hope you have learned a few things about ancient yet modern culture and traditions.


We are also thankful to have the opportunity to learn about other cultures in our community!


We believe cultural diversity is the strength of our community! It is the spirit of America's societal fabrics!
